Kinesiology
Kinesiology or, more properly, energy kinesiology, is a therapeutic meeting of East and West – a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and methods discovered in chiropractic and osteopathy. Kinesiology’s unique and highly versatile tool is muscle testing, which is a way of communicating directly with the body or unconscious.
Muscle testing can be used to get information from the body about what is beneficial or detrimental to it. This information might be about levels of stress, stressors or the causes of stress; energy (qi) imbalances and how they can best be corrected; whether, which and how much of a supplement or other remedy is useful; which foods and nutrients are required for optimum health or performance; the identification of allergens; and so on.
Kinesiology is based on three amazing discoveries:
(1) Muscles can be tested for their integrity and indicate a stressed (unlocking muscle) or unstressed (locking muscle) response to any stimulus.
(2) Different muscles have an association with specific energy channels (or meridians). This means that individual meridian energy imbalances can be monitored through muscle testing. Interventions from chiropractic, osteopathy and TCM can restore the proper functioning of the muscle and correct energy imbalances, thereby contributing to better health and improved posture.
(3) Through testing a muscle, unconscious information can be presented to consciousness. For example, a person recalls an event and muscle testing reveals whether or not the event is stressful to the person in the present. Equally, when this stress has been healed, muscle testing will indicate this.
Muscle testing is an extraordinarily versatile tool, and kinesiology has opened up a whole new area of effective and verifiable healing methods.
