With over 20 years of experience in the NHS and private practice, I take a holistic approach to physiotherapy, both in my assessment and treatment. I also offer massage, hot stone massage, and acupuncture. My Pilates classes are for everyone, with a focus on balancing the muscles / alignment of the body, building strength and improving posture and pain issues.
1996 BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy 2006 MSc Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy 2002 Body Control, Pilates Level 3 Matwork Instructor 2019, 200 hour British Wheel of Yoga teacher training
I tend to work with a more holistic approach than most physios, in both my assessment and treatment options. I have worked in many different healthcare settings for over 20 years, including GP surgeries and NHS Consultant clinics. Whilst this has given me a wealth of experience I found there wasn’t enough time to spend with clients. For this reason, I allow at least 45 minutes to ensure nothing is rushed.
I am also fully qualified and experienced in using Acupuncture as an option, which is great for healing and general wellbeing.
I trained in Pilates because it compliments the self care approach to physiotherapy and I have had fantastic results for many clients over the years. Pilates really is for everyone. I have adapted my method of teaching to include some aspects of Yoga and my classes are focused on physical and mental wellbeing.
