Child and Adolescent Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor

Child and Adolescent Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor (2016); UKCP registered Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist MA in training; PG Cert Therapeutic use of the Arts (2015); PG Cert Integrative Child Psychotherapy (2016); Cert in Anthroposophical Art Therapy (2001)
I offer Integrative Therapeutic Counselling using the arts as a way of helping children and young people with personal, family, school or developmental issues and difficulties. The child or young person is offered a safe and supportive environment to explore difficult issues in confidence where their views and experiences are listened to, without judgement in an atmosphere of respect and empathy, based on a secure and trusting working relationship. My training is in the therapeutic use of the arts. The arts can express feelings and experiences when words are not so easy to access. I use a variety of art forms: painting, clay modelling, sand tray, movement, storytelling, music or poetry to promote healing and self-expression.
