Catherine Mc Kean

Meta Health Master Practitioner – Meta Kinetics Practitioner – EFT Practitioner

My journey into exploring physical, mental and emotional patterns of health, began with a diagnosis at 18 with an autoimmune disease. Subsequent training and employment in the NHS in Radiotherapy(AP),Chronic Disease and as a Self Management Co-ordinator, together with my own personal journey created a deeper awareness, empathy and transparency of what individuals may experience with their physical and emotional health. This personal and professional experience has enabled me to transition to my own practice, so I can observe and facilitate working with individuals as a ‘‘whole being’ rather than just as the symptoms they are experiencing.

Using a persons medical diagnosis/symptoms, I use a systemic approach termed Meta Health® analysis, to explore through specific questioning the plausible relationships between adverse events/stress conflicts, brain relays, physical symptoms, belief structures, emotions, feelings and patterns of behaviour to determine why the body maybe experiencing symptoms.

I have a wealth of experience of working within mental health with children and young people and within difficult relationship issues. I work in inpatient facilities and within NHS CAMHS (Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service) and have worked with private clients/families.
I am aware of how hard it is to ask for help and if only I could give you a gift to know that I am not here to judge you but to be on everyone’s side to help you be able to enjoy each other and have the kind of relationships you want.
When working individually I have lots of experience in engaging young people and children and being creative and playful when needed.

Melanie Taylor

Oasis Facilitator offering Oasis Group Work
MSc. Integrative Therapeutic Counselling, (MBACP)., BA Hons., P.G. Dip. Ed.; P.G.C.E.

I believe that reclaiming our deep story means entering a space of attentiveness to our feeling soul within and to our responses to the world about us. Working with other Practitioners I offer a space in which the Soul can awaken, harken and find purpose, joy and meaning in life – and a restoration of personal balance.

I co-founded Oasis after a recovering from a serious illness in my mid-thirties, which left me unable to walk. This experience led me on a journey of discovery.

Some life events that may have caused pain and suffering often hold the key to transformation, hope and joy. A true listening space for shared biography can help their spiritual significance to emerge. Artistic activities awaken creativity, access the imaginative dimension and strengthen social awareness. Stories, myths and legends release the mind from everyday concerns, inviting the language of archetypal images belonging to the soul’s journey to appear.’ Melanie Taylor

Melanie also provides a temporary role as ‘Interim Contact Person’ for the Medical Section UK pending a meeting with Representatives from the different Anthroposophic Medical and Therapeutic Associations in December 2019.
