Ben Peasley

Counsellor
Level 5 Therapeutic Counselling 2020

I offer integrative Counselling from a Person Centered base using elements of Gestalt and Transactional Analysis as well. I like to work creatively when it’s appropriate to do so, to aid in expressing emotions, feelings and thoughts.

I have three core values when it comes to my counselling practice: keeping it simple, working in creative ways and being professional. I’ll not use any scary or potentially off putting therapy words, instead I’ll offer you a completely none judgemental, empathetic, client central approach to whatever it might be you have going on in your life.

Your thoughts, feelings and emotions are safe with me. I can work with whatever it might be that is going on for you right now.

Catherine Mc Kean

Meta Health Master Practitioner – Meta Kinetics Practitioner – EFT Practitioner

My journey into exploring physical, mental and emotional patterns of health, began with a diagnosis at 18 with an autoimmune disease. Subsequent training and employment in the NHS in Radiotherapy(AP),Chronic Disease and as a Self Management Co-ordinator, together with my own personal journey created a deeper awareness, empathy and transparency of what individuals may experience with their physical and emotional health. This personal and professional experience has enabled me to transition to my own practice, so I can observe and facilitate working with individuals as a ‘‘whole being’ rather than just as the symptoms they are experiencing.

Using a persons medical diagnosis/symptoms, I use a systemic approach termed Meta Health® analysis, to explore through specific questioning the plausible relationships between adverse events/stress conflicts, brain relays, physical symptoms, belief structures, emotions, feelings and patterns of behaviour to determine why the body maybe experiencing symptoms.

Joanne King

Systemic Psychotherapy (Family Therapy)
MSc.

Available for on-site consultations.
Many young people and family say they feel ok with online therapy and feel more relaxed in their own home.

I have a wealth of experience of working within mental health with children and young people and within difficult relationship issues. I work in inpatient facilities and within NHS CAMHS (Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service) and have worked with private clients/families.
When working individually I have lots of experience in engaging young people and children and being creative and playful when needed. I am aware of how hard it is to ask for help and if only I could give you a gift to know that I am not here to judge you but to be on everyone’s side to help you be able to enjoy each other and have the kind of relationships you want.

Annette Gordon

Counselling for individuals and couples / Supervision
Registered MBACP (Accred); M.A. Couns; Dip Couns Supervision; Dip Biog Couns; PG Dip DrTh; Cert Ed

During lockdown restrictions I have been able to offer counselling via phone or Zoom video calls as well as face to face at the Elysia Therapeutic Centre. I am continuing to offer these possibilities according to whichever option suits you.

My work with you is based very much on your needs and takes in the bigger picture of the human being and your biography, helping you to find some meaning in the challenges that you meet.  These challenges can provide us with an opportunity to develop and grow new capacities within ourselves that can lead to finding a more fulfilling way forward in life. I integrate various modalities into my practice, particularly biographical counselling, the person-centred approach, solution-focussed work, cognitive behavioural therapy, systemic practice and the use of creative methods.

I have been counselling since 1994, working mainly in private practice, school settings, general practices and within the voluntary sector.  My work involves counselling individuals, children, young people and couples who may be struggling with issues such as relationship difficulties, life crises, bereavement, anxiety, depression, lack of confidence, low self-esteem, trauma, anger and loss. This can be on a short or longer-term basis.

I am a qualified counselling supervisor working with experienced and trainee counsellors.

I am an experienced practitioner in group learning processes, offering support for a wide range of challenges, including isolation, anxiety, bereavement, disability, loss of connection and meaning. Finding help for yourself in a respectful, non-judgmental supportive group can bring you new insights, connections and creativity.

I offer a space in small groups where you can find a restoration of personal balance through working with others on three individually themed Pathways.

Some life events that may have caused pain and suffering often hold the key to transformation, hope and joy. A true listening space for shared biography can help their spiritual significance to emerge. Artistic activities awaken creativity, access the imaginative dimension and strengthen social awareness. Stories, myths and legends release the mind from everyday concerns, inviting the language of archetypal images belonging to the soul’s journey to appear.’ Bridges-to-Oasis
