Bridges to Oasis Course

The Elysia Therapeutic Centre is planning a Bridges to Oasis course for those emerging from post Covid challenges. Some bursary funding has been applied for to enable those wishing to be involved to come regardless of their financial circumstances.

If we are successful in our funding application and have sufficient interest to form a group of 7-10 participants, this course will run for 3 individual ‘Pathways’ of 12 weeks each. Each Pathway has its own process, theme and journey as we explore together how we might rebuild our strength and sense of self after the unique challenges we have all experienced. We aim to start the 1st Pathway on Wednesday 9th September from 10.00am-1.00pm.

If you are interested in joining the group, why not come and find out more about the bridges towards Oasis we can take together at a free taster session either on Wednesday the 29th July or Wednesday 2nd September at 10.00am-12am. Introduction to Veil Painting

The Touch of Light – Part One
An Introduction to Veil Painting with Bernardus Nijhuis

Part One: 7th December and 14th December
10 am until noon at the Elysia Centre

Where light and darkness meet, colours appear. They touch our hearts in many different ways.

In this workshop you will:

– Paint, experience, and understand the working of the different colours.
– Paint and experience the influence of light and darkness in transparent colours.
– Begin to learn skills and techniques to make veil paintings in a single and more colours.

Mindfulness Course

Begins 2 October 2019,
Every Wednesday for 8 weeks. Starts at 19:00 and ends at 21:00

The MLB 8 week “Mindfulness for Stress and Anxiety” course provides the tools to minimise the incredible impact that stress can have on our lives.

There are eight weekly 2 hour sessions with an opportunity to participate in an all-day practice session which are run throughout the year.

Mindfulness is a scientifically proven method to cultivate clarity, insight and understanding. It helps us recognise habits and unconscious emotional and physical reactions to every day events.

Practising Mindfulness allows us to be fully present in our life and work and improve our quality of life.
